CCA-1210A Combat Shotgun
The CCA-1210 is the standard service shotgun of the FLCF, and was designed with short-to-mid combat in mind. The weapon is full-sized, incredibly durable, and almost perfectly lethal, with numerous computerized capabilities that allow it to adapt to almost any combat situation. Though it is fairly heavy and large, it's incredible power and versatility have made it a favorite of the FLCF's soldiers.
The body of the 1210A is constructed of lightweight Titanium-V alloy reinforced with carbon threads, while the barrels and magnetic loading mechanism are constructed of Tungsten-II. These materials were formulated to be lighter weight than normal metal, but much stronger and more resistance to all sorts of extreme conditions. In addition, the Tungsten-II that makes up the internal mechanics and the barrel is coated with a thin layer of nanites that produce a constant synthetic lubricant, all but removing the need for manual lubrication and cutting down on maintenance costs and frequency.
The 1210A features several unique technologies, including adaptive recoil mitigation systems, a nanopaint that can change pattern to match surrounding camouflage, and a built in holoscreen that displays ammo count, current fire mode, battery charge, and the shooter's position. A built-in rangefinder/scanner and laser sight are mounted directly above the barrel, and coordinate with the gun's computer to modify the bore of the barrels to either increase or decrease pellet spread, depending on the situation. Also present in a top-mounted Universal Rail, which allows for various scopes or sights to be mounted onto the weapon.
The weapon is a bullpup weapon system with an automated loading system that allows for semi-automatic or fully automatic fire. The entire loading mechanism is sealed against the outside world, and shells are ejected from one of two ports on the side of the gun, depending on whether it is set to left handed or right handed. . The magazine is also capable of holding several different types of ammunition, ranging from slugs to bean-bag munitions. Recoil is mitigated through a reciprocating barrel and numerous shock-absorbing nanosprings that are built right into the stock. These systems are automatically adjusted by the gun's computer.
The 1210A is can switch between semi-automatic and fully automatic, although the latter of the two is not recommended due to the recoil and marked decreased in accuracy that the weapons may suffer.
